SWG:Star Wars Galaxies

The History of Northstar Alliance in SWG
SWG was the reason the Northstar Alliance was created. Some 10-12 months before launch, several of our current members got together, and created the web site you see today. In the run up to release others were recruited, and a strong community was forged right here on the web site before anyone had even played an hour of gaming together. This gave us an invaluable start to our time in SWG and on the Server Eclipse..
Eclipse however was not our first home. The guild originally started on the ????? server, however due to performance issues, the decision was made to change to the Eclipse server within the first few weeks.
Our first goal on Eclipse was to forge the Northstar City. and thanks to the efforts of all the members our city quickly grew. The placement of our PA hall was a legendary event, and was quickly followed by other city structures such as the shuttle port, cloning facility and of course the infamous Northstar Cantina, Polaris Pleasures, where the legendary Ecke used to play to packed houses regularly. Northstar City grew to become a metropolis, home to over 200 people, Hyperdrive Radio, one of the first casinos on Eclipse, and one of the central trading hubs on Naboo.
SWG really melded the guild into what it is today, the teamwork, effort and respect all the members in SWG had really epitamised the values of the guild. Even today, some 5 years later, those goals are still maintained and encouraged throguhout all the other games we have played.
Unfortunately the SWG days became blighted by continual bugs, imbalances, and pathetic attempts by the devs to improve (or should that be ruin) the game, and this alone really led to the reduction of active members.
Northstar City still exists today, and in recent months (to Sep '07) guild activity has picked up again, as a few die hard members resurected our activities and have begun active recruitment. And if you listen hard enough, around Polaris Pleasures, you may even be able to hear the occasional tune on the wind, first played by the infamous solo artist that is Ecke !!
The guild has had many High's, and a few lows (The passing of the well loved member Hiljo will never be forgotten!), and is really a testament to the community of friends that has grown up through numerous games, which all started in SWG.
